saturday night bestie T and i made our way to the lady gaga concert. we decided not to dress up (good decision, every one dressed up look.....crazy...to say the least) but i wanted to do something special.

i figured a bow tie would be a simple solution. 

T and i were so busy having fun, that we didn't take any pictures so....all i have is a lousy photobooth picture.

oh and surprise! an even better phone w/ mirror picture. if that's not classic i don't know what is

nothing better than a simple outfit jazzed up by wearing sequined shorts and a nice bow tie

fridays are always a little better with a flashback

the other day at brunch we were talking about the ghosts of short hair past.

to understand what i'm talking about, you have to hear a little story.

when jen was just a wee one, my mom wanted her to cut her hair short.

jen, being a smart little devil, said that she only would if my mom cut hers.

so cut hers my mom did. and she permed it.

what a woman.

i can't remember why, but in preschool i cut my hair short (i got the short hair itch young apparently).

it was so short and i loved it so much. 

i loved having the back shaved. i was living on the edge. 

cute little bowl cut, and yes...i did get mistaken for a boy a few times (mom is in denial),

but a cute boy with a polka dot tank top and shorts with sea shells on them

(i also got the pattern mixing gene young too i guess...thanks for letting me pick out my own clothes mom and dad!) i especially love my little name tag.
