needless to say.....
90% of the pictures in this book looked horrid.
((we're talking soggy, burnt over the side of a plate, bizarre "stuff" in the background, etc))
and then there was this recipe for
snow ice cream.
i was tellin jen how lame that sounded and she pointed out that an ingredient really was
4 c. clean snow.
umm. seriously. wtf.
there was a blurb off to the side of the recipe.
someone was quoted saying that her family looks forward to the first snow every year so they can make snow ice cream.
seriously?
the first snow is the dirtiest snow EVER.
her family must really love snow ice cream and all the pollution and chemicals that come with it.
geez.
fricken snow ice cream.
((you suck))

I hurt from how much I laughed that night. We are library troublemakers. Let's promise to each other that we'll never make anything from that book. Especially snow ice cream.
That's pretty hilarious - especially because my mom always talked about how much she loved making snow cream on the rare occasion when it would snow in South Carolina. I never quite understood it :)
They should have booted you two out of the library.
